How to use this page

The cards above are the topic index. This section is how those topics actually settle, and which venue cluster to research first. The ranked list of venues is top prediction markets. Live contracts sit on Events. Do not treat a category name as a promise that every platform lists that market.

Politics and elections — wording is the product

Politics and elections overlap on purpose. Politics is the wider bucket: legislation, leadership, nominations, policy dates. Elections is certified results, chamber control and named races. A viral clip is not a settlement source. Chamber markets settle on certified results. Read the resolution briefing before the mid.

Research path: Polymarket and Kalshi for public-event politics where each is allowed; PredictIt for US politics with tight position limits; politics events and elections events for the boards. US cash readers start at USA.

Sports, football, motorsport

Sports contracts look like odds. They still have a written resolution source, a kickoff cutoff and a postponed-event rule. Football and motorsport get their own event hubs because the calendar is dense. Crypto sports liquidity is Azuro and SX Bet where those apps allow you. Cash or licensed paths depend on region — sports markets, sports events.

Crypto and AI

Crypto boards move on ETF prints, upgrade windows and outage clocks. The tradable question is rarely “will the token go up.” It is whether a named metric or date hits. AI markets need the named benchmark or agency notice, not a blog adjective. Venues: Polymarket and Manifold for discovery; Metaculus for forecasting questions; crypto events.

Economy and weather

Macro contracts are definition markets. NBER-style recession, two-quarter GDP and a “jobs print” are different products. Weather contracts name a dataset and a geography — season-count vs landfall is how people buy the wrong storm. Kalshi and ForecastEx are the usual US cash research names. Confirm the bureau in the rules.

Entertainment, science, business

Awards and box office leak festival buzz into prices months early. Science and long-horizon questions often live on forecasting sites, not cash DCMs. Business headlines are often just economy contracts with a company name. Liquidity is usually thinner. Size accordingly.

Pick a venue after the category

Same topic, different legal product. Access still splits a US reader from an EU reader — access and KYC. Fees still eat a screenshot mid — fees and risk. If you only needed a platform, skip this page and open the ranking or directory.
